If you use this for a phone app, it will play caller id and rejection messages. It will run Caller ID with the latest drivers, but there is a bug with these modem types (chipset that most USB modems use. But for HiRO H50113 it's different) and Win7. Rejection messages from the phone application are not played back. HiRO H50113 does not have this error in Win7 and uses a different chipset. Make sure you go to the HiRO website and download the driver there if it is installed: 2.2.98.0 Do not use the generic windows driver. (All the modems I tried used the driver from their website). the one I settled on until I found out the HiRO H50113 has no message playback error in Win7.
