Review on Couture Sewing Techniques Revised Updated Ebook by Carrie Spencer

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Is it worth? (sewing edition)

I think this is a good book for learning haute couture techniques and when to use them, but I disagree that there are few photos showing how to achieve the desired results and much written text. , which I don't think fits in any sewing book. More attention should be paid to photos and diagrams. I have a feeling you can get some haute couture vocabulary and when to use it, but I don't think the actual techniques can be easily reproduced from the book without additional demonstration from outside sources, so I'm disappointed (really very disappointed) of this book (Claire B. Schaeffer knows her stuff, you could learn from her). I was fully expecting a haute couture book to be constantly thrown open on my sewing table, but that's not the case. I hope this book will be revised with many more step-by-step illustrations to make it accessible and a memorable addition to the library. amazing results, there are also several books on the art of haute couture sewing that actually contain haute couture techniques, but I don't think you'll learn how to do it from this book so I can't give it a go give more stars. I would also love to see some of the sewing accents on these amazing unstructured crinolines/hoops - how different they are today versus the old days and of course the best sewing techniques. I see some dresses on the runway and I'm always curious how they are made. I didn't intend that, although as far as I understand this topic may need to be dedicated to a whole other book. General overview of haute couture techniques yes How to achieve the desired result no. fur
