I built my home over thirty years ago and all the kitchen cabinets, laundry rooms and bathrooms have Blum hinges. There are about 60 Blum loops in my house. A few months ago a spring broke in one of the hinges. I was happy to find the same hinge in stock and only had to order one of the 2 piece hinge parts. It took less than ten minutes to remove the cabinet door, replace the broken portion of the hinge, and reinstall. I bought a set of 8 thinking other springs might soon fail. Nobody has, but now I have one part in case the other doesn't work. It was only about $15 for 8.
