Wish I thought to take a picture before I started cleaning the water pump but if you decide to purchase or already purchased this water fountain for your cat, be mindful that you do need to clean the inside of the water pump or at least wipe off the mold. It is a water pump therefore water is not suppose to get inside the pump but if you disassemble the pump, you might find mold growth inside which could be harmful for cat consumption. May want to consider another purchase if you don’t want to clean the pump every so often.
