I want to do my own gel nails to keep my nails healthy while maintaining long lasting color and save money by not going to the salon every day . Month. If the varnish does not dry completely due to the power of the lamp, then it will peel off sooner - the base and top are not of very good quality. I had to buy a better brand. It lacks a nail drainer, so you'll have to buy one of the ones you don't want your nail polish peeling off. Also, make sure you DO NOT get a layer of polish on the skin around the nail. because it comes off as soon as your skin gets wet from the water. Make sure you remove any paint that has come in contact with your skin before putting your hand under the lamp (so it doesn't harden). With a higher quality lamp (more power) and a nail dehydrator, the color stays on my nail so I can just peel the excess off my skin without lifting it off the nail. Because the paint actually dries and has less moisture. Of course the box is nice, but with a higher wattage lamp needed it might not fit in the box. Both the top and bottom nail polish are not of the best quality, so you will have to get another one. And you also need to buy a nail dehydrator ($5) to make the nail polish last longer. I just got a new lamp and nail dryer and when I applied the next layer of nail polish I noticed a difference. The polish actually dries completely within 5 minutes. I use glitter as it only takes 1 or 2 coats for a pretty look. (When I color I have to apply 3 layers, which increases the risk that the varnish does not dry and therefore peels off).
