My Dyson Animal DC-07 is an original model from 2001. I remember buying it with a 20% BBByond coupon because they didn't have the option to redeem it from the coupon remove before the Dyson was put up for sale (win #1). My purple Dyson has had several parts replaced over the years: power cord (puppy teeth), hepa filter (yes), blue filter (spirit 2) and a long hose in the back due to accumulated dirt causing the vacuum cleaner smell. And now, after more than 17 years of use, the inner tube is also being renewed. I'm a strong believer in fixing/repairing rather than just throwing it away and buying a new one. With these relatively cheap parts my Dyson runs like new and I am very satisfied. Spending a few bucks and some time on YouTube tutorials is definitely better than spending over $400 on a new device.
