Review on ASRock Z490 Taichi: The Future-Ready Motherboard for Intel Core Processors (Socket 1200) by Sean Young

Really wanted to love this board, it looks amazing. There is one serious issue with the design though, the VRM's unbearable coil noise. This is not your average noise level, I have it in a nine fan Lian li 011 xl and I have a case at the other end of a 106 inch desk. I hear the coil whine over all the fans and during games. This only happens when the CPU and RAM are heavily loaded. It looks like this board isn't rated for 10900k, or maybe ASRock decided to skip some damping. In any case, it will again be replaced by ASUS Hero.
