Review on 🚜 Pertronix 1244A Ford Tractor Ignitor Kit for Original Distributors - 4-Cylinder Single Point, 12-Volt Negative Ground (Models: 8N 500-800 Series) by Karoly Reddick

When this igniter is properly installed on a Ford 801 Series tractor, the dust cap and distributor cap will not fit. You will need to use a dremel or other tool to remove the entire bottom center section around the dust cover post hole. This is not mentioned anywhere in the instructions that accompany this part. I have no problem slightly modifying the part to make it work properly, but I don't agree that Pertronix didn't include this much-needed change in the ad or somewhere in the instructions. My dust cover and magnet cover were welded together after a few minutes of work. Luckily it didn't catch fire and didn't damage anything. I was able to separate the parts, cut out the center of the dust cover and get the tractor running again, but I am not happy with my experience with this part.
