This item is junk. The boards are "sawed off" and very thin. Parts break very easily. The wood in my set came in a variety of colors and textures and it was all poor quality. All the sheets were warped and cracked. I ended up having to use more wood putty to fix the problems than any other dollhouse I've built. I'm not a beginner either. Do yourself a favor, don't buy this kit. Find one that uses plywood that is at least 1/4 inch thick. I gave up about half of the build path and just threw it all away.
