Review on D-Link DIR-3040-US: AC3000 EasyMesh WiFi Router - Compatible with Alexa & Google Assistant, MU-MIMO Tri Band Gigabit Gaming Mesh by Jorge Bryant

Revainrating 1 out of 5

The DIR-3040 router pushes my 433 Mbps that I pay for.

A nice upgrade over the series device. I have a 2 storey house with an area of 2400 sq.m. Before that I tried to use a mesh router and it was a terrible mess and I couldn't get my speed over 100. After speaking to tech support I returned it and hoped for the best. And I feel like I've gotten a lot better. Unfortunately, my phone is the only technology that offers the fastest Wi-Fi speeds. So I used this for speed tests. One night I had terrible speed. But I think it was more my phone than the router. Also, I get 150 to 200 speed tests. But the router pushes 433. The 2 single stream images are right in front of the router and at the farthest point of the house, which is also the farthest from the router. The solo strength of the wife is still quite effective at a distance, but still leaves something to be desired. And my daughter's old Galaxy E tablet likes to buffer in the same room at the router for a while. But I know it's pretty old. One day I called tech support because it seemed to me that the single wasn't very good. I don't like to talk on the phone, so I used the chat. And when you reached someone, you could tell they were chatting with a few people too, so that was a little frustrating.
