I live in an area with lots of farming and miles of land. I also work with lost and found pets. The first question asked was "Are they microchipped?”. But our vets have neither time nor energy for Covid. Because I work with lost, found, adopted and displaced people, I decided to buy this chip reader. This saves me a trip to the vet and unfortunately when the animal is dead I can have it scanned and in some cases I have had to notify pet owners that their beloved pet has died. I cannot stress enough the importance of tagging and microchipping your pet. Even pets slip away and it's heartbreaking. Most days I was out for 4 or 5 hours looking for lost pets. It was a way to save an extra step. I work alone with MS, but reuniting a pet with its owner is very rewarding.
