This year we did a winter wonderland Christmas theme so we thought snowflakes on the ceiling would be a nice touch. They looked great, but we ran into an issue where the hole that the top of the tree fits in is so wide that no tree fits. I bought one of those pivoting poles to secure the top of the tree and give me a wider base to work with, but that didn't work either. We tried filling it with paper to fill it in and make it easier for the top of the tree to fit inside. It first came loose at the stitching on the underside of the star (easily repaired but not a very sturdy build quality), but we managed. on the. However, since it didn't suit us, we spent the whole season adjusting the star as it eventually sags to one side or the other. This is a really great idea, but not practical with the way tree canopies work.
