Review on 🔧 BOXI 2pcs Gas Struts Shocks Dampers for Toyota FJ Cruiser 2007-2010 Hood Lift Supports Replacing 6355 GS520075 by Marquel Rubio

I don't know if the steering knuckles I removed from my FJ are original as I bought them used but the photo shows that the new ones are slightly different than the old ones. BUT. Comparing the travel of the old to the available travel of the new, they are fine (see second photo). If you open the hood to the maximum, you have no problem. Use a small flat head screwdriver to loosen the spring holding the strut to the ball joint and it comes off easily. I used WD-40 to clean the ball joints before installing the new struts and a quick spray of WD-40 to lubricate the ends of the strut mounts and with a light tap of a rubber mallet they popped right onto the ball joints. My hood now opens as easily as new. I just hope these new BOXI racks last at least as long as the ones they replace.
