It might be hard to tell from the photos, but I installed it on a shoulder rest that goes over one shoulder with the forearm resting on the abdomen for exceptional stability. (Which are also for sale here at Revain). The buttstock was very stiff and uncomfortable so I attached a faux sheepskin sheath which really helped solve the comfort issue. Once attached, this setup offers amazing stability whether I'm shooting live or in photo mode. In fact, I would say it has better stability and is easier to control than any gimbal I've used in the past. Also, the shoulder rest allows me not to use the handlebars all the time as I can hold on to the underside of the shoulder rest which is lower and closer to my body and gives me the same control. like I'm holding on to the handles. It also helps with fatigue as I don't have to hold my arms up that high for long. I have an iPhone in the photos, but I'm actually using a Galaxy Note 9 to take the photos. I wanted to use the galaxy for the photo rating so I couldn't do both at the same time since I used it for the photos posted here. In the near future I will be using 1/4" jacks to add an LED light and an external microphone. I will also be installing a 3-position tripod head between the phone mount and the shoulder rest for full flexibility in choosing the angle I have a portable power bank that I can throw in my gear backpack that charges my Note 9 about 10 times on a single charge, allowing me to shoot all day at concerts, events, and outdoor festivals.Although this setup isn't for Everyone is perfect, it's perfect for my needs and I recommend this mount to anyone looking for an easy way to add stability to their photos/videos.
