Review on Rancho RS999039 RS9000XL Series Shock by Robert Castro

The purpose of this article is to introduce the product. My problem is that maybe I had unrealistic expectations. My application is Explorer Sport 94, Original Equipment. I replaced the stem with a Monroe-Matic plus last year and couldn't tell any difference in handling, but the Monroe-Matic had a noticeably smaller bore and stem compared to the stem. I found a great price on RS9000XL and decided to correct my mistake. Well, it's more of a shock, but my handling remains the same regardless of damper settings. Conclusion: This is probably a big shock. But my standard tires are springy and the wheelbase is very short. No amount of shock will fix it. They look nice and meaty. There were issues getting the bellows to fit properly, but I see this on other ranchos all the time. I'm glad I didn't pay more for it.
