Installation was a little tricky. All mounting holes lined up perfectly with the car - inserting screws through this bracket wasn't difficult. I replaced all the fasteners on our 2000 Honda Civic DX and it made a huge difference in how the car behaved. The engine vibrations are gone, and the annoying vibration of the steering wheel when stopping is a distant memory. Of all the mounts I've replaced, the rear motor mount was the hardest to replace. The original manufacturer's rear engine mount showed many stress cracks upon inspection, but was not completely damaged like the other mounts. Removal and installation was done from above under the car with no safety hazard - a good selection of extensions helped a lot. . About 10 minutes after removing each bolt (one click at a time with my ratchet wrench), the bolts came loose easily. Replacing the rear motor mount required me to unscrew the old mount and attempt to pry it from where it was installed. After trying to remove the bracket for about 30 minutes, I unscrewed the front engine mount bolts from the bracket that connected to the transmission case and supported the transmission with a jack. I then loosened the transmission fasteners (without removing the nuts and bolts), lifted the engine off the transmission side, and started the car. My son would shift into drive then reverse and was then able to remove the rear motor mount (engine off). After the old bracket was removed, I installed the new bracket in its place and aligned the bracket in its mounting position, with my son moving the gear back and forth. I bolted the bracket to the car's "subframe" then restarted the engine and asked my son to put the transmission in "drive" so I could line up the center bolt. While he was pushing, my son kept his foot on the brake and the transmission in motion (engine stopped), I was able to line up and tighten the center mounting bolt. I highly recommend replacing all engine mounts as this will restore wasted or wasted power to your engine and eliminate annoying engine vibration. Replacing this bracket took just over an hour and a half and went smoothly once I found out I could just change gears to get everything lined up. When replacing fasteners, do so one at a time. Here is a list of the brackets that I have purchased and replaced for our 2000 Honda Civic DX: DEA A6506, DEA A6526, DEA A6556, DEA A6520 and DEA A6502. It took about 3 hours to remove the old mounts and install the new ones (the rear motor mount was the hardest part - see my DEA A6506 review for an easy tip to make the installation easier). Note: Honda and DEA do not recommend using a pneumatic wrench to loosen bolts on a vehicle frame.
