First of all, these skates need a "breaking-in" period. I've been using these skates for two weeks and would like to share some information to help you get through the break-in period smoothly. 1) Wear socks over the cuffs! The first time I put on socks below the ankle and by the time I was done I had multiple blisters. Rookie mistake on my part; Don't be a beginner. 2) Do not over-tighten the straps the first few times. The tongue of the liner is very stiff and rubs well against your shins until it breaks. They will be fairly stable even if the straps aren't fully tightened. However, these blades are amazing if you give them a chance. The wheels are fast and cut just the way I want them to. They come with a spare pit of black laces if you prefer fuchsia. I bought these because I was looking for an intermediate skate that was more advanced than my Bladerunner Advantage II but not in the aggressive category like my Team NJ Pros. Twister Edge is a fun and fast urban skateboard. I look forward to using them more this winter and switching them up with my Team NJs depending on where I ride. The Blade Runners served me well in street skating for two years, but it's time they retired.
