These are clear acrylic blocks. A lot, but you need to be prepared for two things.1. Acceptance of some rough edges. With regular use it doesn't bother me at all, but if you bother with those rough edges you can easily sand them down. 2. The grid is useful but you will need to remove the brown backing paper from both sides for all 5 blocks. And you need to do some work for the grid side - you need to unwrap each square. This takes about 15-20 minutes. Over 100 squares. Also, it will damage your nails, so if you've done nice nail work, you should ask someone else to take it off. That's all! If those two things don't bother you, this set works great and the price is great! I have no problem with clear acrylic blocks or clear stamps myself. You just need to do some prep work!
