Review on 48" Kevlar Cord Retractable Electronics Tether with Retraction Lock - Green Polycarbonate Case for Rangefinder and GPS Units by John Cox

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The lock seems to work better when you pull the cord as it will.

Fits my Samsung Note8 phone which weighs 7 ounces. However, the 8-ounce retractor needs help rolling up (it also hangs with a few inches of slack). 20 oz is too much tension to use the phone as it wants to rip out of your hand. 6 oz is too little and the phone wants to fall. I ended up ordering the 14 oz Scuba model which comes with 2 T-REIGN Xtreme Clamps Duty Retractor Scuba Gear with Carabiner and 36" Kevlar Lanyard, 14 oz. Retractable power supply ideal for sensors, flashlights, cameras and more My phone doesn't sag with it. The lock seems to work better when tugging on the cable as it likes to snap every few inches. The cable end is a bit long for my liking but reliable. A regular cable with a loop at the end of the cable Wire looks like it will fail and could scratch the phone My carabiner is slightly bent It's just an old carabiner (I've seen better ones) Quality could be a bit better for the price.

Pros
  • Large chutes up to 8 oz. And has a 48 inch reach
Cons
  • So So
