Solid laptop best in category Computers & Accessories

Bought from one seller at incredibly low prices. Arrived in a large box but neatly wrapped in bubble wrap. Original HP charger included. The laptop has light to medium scratches on the outside and some deep scratches on the bottom. But the inside is almost like new. The screen is scratch-free and the keyboard looks unused. The fingerprint sensor is nice. The only downside is that there is definitely some dust on the keyboard as well as the touchpad buttons and speakers. Otherwise it looks almost unused. Came with Windows 10 Pro and was activated by looking for the Windows activation sticker code under the computer. I upgraded the RAM to 16GB and added another stick to the already included 8GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM. After setting up the computer, I immediately started checking for updates to get all the updated drivers. I also downloaded and used Driver Booster 6.3 which installs other legacy drivers. I reboot all the time to install the drivers correctly. If the brightness buttons are not working, you need to go to the HP website and in the Support and drivers section find and download the name of this computer (HP 840 G1) - install hotkeys, chipset, BIOS and software package manager (to check for other updates) . Once installed, launch the Softpaq Manager and install any other driver updates. Be sure to restart your computer if necessary. Once everything is installed correctly, your computer will be as stable as possible and everything will work better. This will take some time, but it's worth it if you want to avoid slowdowns. In general I see a 3 year duration for what I do (school, coding, YouTube etc.). The computer features: i5-4300u 1366 x 768128 GB SSD 8 GB RAM (1 slot open) Fingerprint scanner Touchpoint 4 USB 3.0 display/VGAEthernet port and 2 other slots that look like they are for docking (not secure) and keyboard with backlight
