Not nearly as bad as the original.
I've been using this replacement piston on my AeroPress for a few months. At first it seemed to work fine. However, I found this plunger barely closed and let a lot of coffee through when I used it for a long time. I know the price of this product but be aware that after a few months of use it may wear off and you may need to start looking for a replacement just like me.
