Not sure what we expected, but this turned out to be really nice. Lights up nicely, three different temperatures. Magnification is nice and without distortion. Can't say about the recharge life and time, we took it out of the box a few days ago and it's still doing on the original charge. Folds up really nice and isn't a complete eye sore. Great buy!
