I often got stuck. Two extensions broke trying to remove the damn thing. Surprisingly, the hex head held up long enough for an 18" pry bar to eventually pry it off. After he finally got out, the first four streams were still stuck in traffic. It took several passes with the thread cutter to erase. The other one I bought I was able to install a few inches more downstream of the manifold. It didn't bother me. It must be made of high quality steel. Kudos to the hex head that withstood the torque required to remove it. I will look for a good antiseptic suitable for this application.
