These speakers aren't bad in my opinion for the money you're paying. They're pretty good for light city cruising. They are almost inaudible on the freeway. I have a straight tube 883 Sportster. If your phone is connected to an additional channel, you can pause it and turn down the volume. Only the music keeps going. You just don't hear it. So I use the bluetooth control. You can then skip tracks, pause, turn down the volume and all that. Just make sure your phone's volume is set to full volume. I'm waiting for my Boss 600W speakers. At the same time it is done.
