Lift bracket fit/finish and packaging seems really good for the aftermarket. The jacks were even pre-lubricated in the ball joint cups. They were fitted to a 2006 RX330 with a power sunroof where the door would not open fully without manually pushing it. You may only need to replace one as I tested the door (both electric and manual sunroof opening) immediately after replacing one of the elevators and it was able to open fully. I went ahead and replaced the second lift appropriately. I would still prefer the Lexus OEM units because they seem to be more solid in wobble tests with jacks installed. I think the OEMs also reduce their force (probably via some sort of two-stage valving in the strut) as the sunroof approaches its maximum extended reach, resulting in a softer hold at the top. On the other hand, these tuff supports have a constant strength over the entire range and reach their maximum elongation more abruptly. Not a big deal, but be more careful when opening the sunroof if you're in a place with a narrower opening (such as a low ceiling or garage door). Overall, they offer excellent value for money without having to pay an exorbitant OEM price.
