I received this teapot as a Christmas present and recently used oregano and garlic as my first attempt at flavoring olive oil. I let it sit for a day and tried pouring some onto a plate to use as bread sauce. Unfortunately, nothing came of it until it started dripping from the non-removable top cover. I ended up having to remove the inside of the lid that says "do not remove" to examine and apparently the silicone spout has come loose from the spout's metal outlet. After numerous attempts to put it back on I gave up and just removed the cap and poured some oil on the plate. The oil was awesome, but I could do the same thing with gauze and a jar for less than $1. This bottle is beautiful but terrible design. The inner silicone spout SHOULD be removed for thorough cleaning as continued use will build up layers of old oil inside the spout. Therefore, the lid must be removable to reattach the spout after cleaning. Again, it seems to be a semi-technical product that has not been thought through to the end. I'll get it back once I figure out how to rebuild the refactored package.
