I gave this product to my son who is studying cooking. He loves to. He said it works very well. He likes to use different things to infuse his oil for cooking and making salad dressings.

I ordered this product with some hesitation after reading several other reviews about it not working or spilling. I have had no issues with this item and it works great - no shading issues. I recommend this product.

I really liked it and used it continuously for over a year for oil but this time I couldn't unscrew the cap and get the spout filled when cleaning. on the. The silver/black nose detaches from the device, leaving the white plastic piece firmly attached, but the device cannot be used. I have not put it in the dishwasher, dropped it or hit it. I was attracted to this idea as it didn't require me to shell out expensive infused oils. I used it for garlic oil. Trouble is, if you don't use it fairly quickly, you'll lose a lot of oil as the garlic goes bad from sitting in it for too long. I also didn't find that the oil took on a very strong garlic flavor. I received this teapot as a Christmas present and recently used oregano and garlic as my first attempt at flavoring olive oil.
