Review on Centoco 200BK ๐Ÿšฝ Plastic Closed Front Toilet Seat by Mike Bogan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Reasonable value for money

I've looked at the options and while the Kohler looked the best I had a hard time, $79 to spend on a toilet seat. That's the problem with vintage black toilets โ€” white seats are inexpensive and anything painted a different color is just ridiculous. I had a wooden seat (with a black border) but it was so hard it was really uncomfortable - the other toilet in the house has a plastic seat so I specifically looked for a black plastic one. Now for the details - the box was pretty shabby but there is cardboard around the edges to protect the seat which is itself sealed in plastic. There were some small scratches on the surface, which is surprising as they should have been placed before the plastic wrap. The seat itself is slightly oversized for this type of oval toilet, sticking out about half an inch longer at the front edge. The seat post is flat and quite wide, so the opening is a bit smaller than a regular seat of this type, but that's no big deal - in fact, light scratches weren't enough to complain about either. While not a soft-closing seat, it's very comfortable and enough to overcome other issues, especially considering the price.

Pros
  • Molded, durable and hygienic color coded bumpers that won't fall off
Cons
  • So far so good
