This gauge is for any car or motorcycle enthusiast. 0-60 PSI is great as it covers all but one range and is extremely accurate and repeatable. It has an exhaust valve, which should be in the manual for a beginner. Pump up a few pounds and use the dump valve to fine tune it. The instructions aren't clear enough for a non-bike/car nut to make sense. In short, remove the rubber case, use a butter knife to remove the silicone oil transport rubber stopper from the top (make sure it stays vertical) and replace it with the included rubber stopper and brass pin. This is necessary so that you can maintain accurate pressure at different altitudes. Let's say you're going to Denver to drive and you need precision. Pull the brass pin up just enough to equalize the pressure. That's how accurate this device is. One person complained that he received a leak. Plausible, but anything made by humans will contain bugs from time to time. They recommend screwing the brass pin in further with the rubber vent. This applies to those traveling at different locations along the route. Once in YOUR SHOP or Garage, once is enough to even the score. The atmospheric pressure difference in the weather is too small to worry about. This is mostly a high altitude situation. So if you always measure your blood pressure in the same spot, don't worry about doing it more than once a month. Use a bleed valve before re-measuring. Only four stars because of the insane price and poor instructions. For the price they charge they could add a DVD but some enthusiasts might be offended. Generally the last sensor I will buy if someone doesn't grab it.
