Review on Brita 10C WHT Pitcher: Clean Water Solution, Single Unit, White by Nick Garrett

I have had one of these large Britas for over a year and recently bought it for Christmas for a friend who lived in an apartment and drank bad tasting water. After a few weeks, she told me that not only did she like the taste of water, but she drank more of it at home. Her reaction was initially the same as mine and my opinion after a year of use. They are very handy to have, hold a decent amount of water and fit nicely in the doors of most milk/juice fridges. Please note: If a full pot is not so easy to hold because it becomes heavy with water and the handle design is not very ergonomic. All the weight of the water puts stress on your wrist (probably not a problem for men, but a few women made that comment to me while using mine). The lid is not very secure. If you overfill the pitcher, the water will remain in the fill cup and can easily spill out if you tilt the pitcher all the way. The lid doesn't snap into place, it just slides open. It slides on pretty snugly so it doesn't dangle or move. But it happens that when you pour water, there is still open water in the tank. Oh, and rule #1 when using Brita: change the filter annually, not every 3 months. If cleanliness is not your thing, these filters will provide you with delicious water for at least a year. I changed my first one after 3 months, the second recently after 12 months of use and the water tasted great the whole time.
