Brita 10C WHT Pitcher: Clean Water Solution, Single Unit, White Review

I have 16 oz. the cup is in the photo next to the jug so you can better imagine the size. It is big! I like it. The large capacity means you'll have to refill it less often. I like the slim, comfortable shape of the handle and the fact that it's gray. Our water comes from a shallow well, so a filter is essential. Water tastes great!

I bought a Brita pitcher the same size from Costco a while ago and really liked it but it looked like it was like there was mold inside the handle I bought it, got rid of it and bought this one. Not a fan of design. The lid often comes off when pouring and often closes when filling. I'm not sure if Revain sells the model I bought from Costco. With this model, the lid opens automatically when filling. I'd go with it if you can find it.

I bought this jug about 1.5 years ago and it has worked well. Then the battery died, and it turned out that there was no way to just replace the battery yourself, which I found out by contacting Brita support. After that I asked how to fix this situation now but the support team was silent (via email) and even after two more replies from me I still didn't get an answer. This filter jug serves its purpose. But the huge size also has its disadvantages: 1) it just takes up too much space, why need an oversized water filter, unfiltered water gets deposited everywhere. According to Brita, this is expected behavior but doesn't look very appetizing. 4) I don't like the new traffic light display. 03/30/2014 Update: Apparently I didn't press the filter in hard enough. I had to push the filter in pretty hard to get the click. Once I had that "click," I had no problem getting to those final drops. So I increased my star rating from 2 to 3 stars. I have had one of these large Britas for over a year and recently bought it for Christmas for a friend who lived in an apartment and drank bad tasting water.
