I wash my own car and have put together a decent cleaning kit over the years. What I've always wanted was a good portable vacuum cleaner. I recently purchased a Eureka handheld vacuum based on many good reviews. It was ok but I didn't have enough power and as it was intended as an all purpose vacuum it didn't have the necessary attachments to thoroughly clean the car. I like the AutoSpa because it was designed from the start as a car vacuum, so there are fewer compromises. The AutoSpa includes attachments for cleaning air vents and other nooks and crannies that work reasonably well. I've used this vacuum about a dozen times and here are my impressions so far: Pros: - Strong suction - Really useful attachments - Built-in nozzle holders and cord/hose management - Lightweight and easy to carry thanks to the built-in handle - Easily accessible switch - Good price for Performance/Utility Cons: - Nozzles don't snap into block very securely - Yellow silicone around main suction head flakes off when pressure is applied (I just removed it) - Rectangular attachment point makes it difficult to use nozzles other than those included in the kit (actually it doesn't matter) - overall it looks cheap but works well and it's important that at this price point it's also noted that it plugs into a standard 120v household socket (which means you'll need a household socket required). Please don't think it plugs into a cigarette lighter or contains a battery! However, I have used it several times and I am satisfied with my purchase. Sometimes I get stubborn dog hair that many handheld vacuums can't get out. This one seems to collect everything on its way. Overall I'm satisfied and would recommend it to anyone who wants a powerful enough, very useful car vacuum for quick cleaning or meticulous detail work.
