Thought the carpets were clean because we had a pretty good vacuum, but I was wrong. This is a really good vacuum, full suction and adjustable floor height, not the suction setting you see on many vacuums that just open the airways to release some of the suction. This vacuum maintains suction at all levels, and that's what matters. You will be very satisfied.
