Not so good for MANY devices connected to it.

Right after I got it I looked at it and said it was faster than my OLD Aris. This is still true. But the more I added to this router, the worse it got. A total of about 24 devices are connected to it. Only 4 are wired. All others are wireless. My security camera system was constantly turning random cameras on and off. Sometimes it turned off the camera completely and didn't come back until I restarted the modem. Couldn't even ping the camera. However, after a reboot everything worked fine. about 30 minutes. Even my ROKU TV (TCL) got very poor resolution and you could tell it was having trouble getting data fast enough. The speed test on my ISP (spectrum) was always around 20. Can't fault them. It got to the point where I had to restart Aris so many times, three or four times a night, that I installed a remote outlet to cut its power! Aris tech support was no help. Denied any responsibility for the wifi issues and said I could connect 243 devices and never reboot. Yes, perhaps. when none of them worked much, like VIDEO devices! So I replaced the wireless router part with a Netgear AC1750 and never had to reboot that new router. Still using the old modem in bridge mode and WiFi disabled.****TIP***** To move old devices to the new router, turn off the OLD WiFi radio (turn off the radio) , create a NEW SSID on the router. A NEW router with the SAME OLD NAME as on the old router, with the SAME access code. Everything connected perfectly!
