I love freshly ground nutmeg and this is the perfect antidote. The all-metal construction is durable, and the teeth effortlessly grind nutmeg, allspice, or other hard spices like cinnamon. It hangs on the kitchen wall and is always ready to hand. Only criticism is that the top storage compartment is too small for many nutmegs. The lid doesn't close until I rub in enough nutmeg to shrink it to size. I'm deducting a star for this shortcoming. Otherwise it is a guardian. By the way, fresh nutmeg knocks off the pants of canned food. I like to rub a little into my morning tea. In addition, fresh nutmeg makes homemade spaetzle heavenly!
