Review on πŸ’Ž DEWALT DW5572 4 Inch Diamond Drill: Unleash Precision and Power in Your Projects by Mar Pacora

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I drilled a hole in a 4' x 5' mirror that was attached to the wall.

We are doing some work in our bathroom. We had a large mirror installed and this had to be replaced if we wanted to add lighting (LED). To do this, you need a hole in the mirror. The glass company said it would be cheaper to make a new mirror (due to the cost of raising the existing mirror). So I decided to drill the hole myself. 3/8 foot (I was too unsure of the process to attempt a 1 inch hole.) I installed the drip head over the hole. I used a piece of wood the size of a 4 inch piece of paint. Mixer. I drilled a hole in the piece of wood with a diamond bit. I used double sided tape to attach the piece of wood to the mirror, this will be my starting point. slow speed. This probably took 10 to 15 minutes of actual drilling time. I stopped a few times to rest and make sure I wasn't losing patience or putting extra pressure. The hole turned out perfect! I then proceeded through the drywall behind the mirror. Now I have a hole to run the wires through. The mount is held in place with two 4" pieces of 3M VHB tape, but I'll have a "secure" cable to connect to. Fix it to the bracket and wall in case the tape fails. Note: I bought the same drill bit but 5/16" to match our shower doors. I had to drill 4 holes in 3/8" thick porcelain tile (very hard). When I received this drill I compared it to the old one and saw a slight difference indicating slight wear after drilling through porcelain. I highly recommend this product. .
