Working. The ones I received both have brass barrels. I have used them in 5 cord roman blinds, 1.4mm cord, braided cord. So far no problems with slippage. Remember they work best when most lines make an S-shaped journey between barrels. This means that most of the line goes through the smaller fixed drum and then between the drums. This usually means that the locking movement is done by moving the cords away from the window and parallel to the wall. The cords must slip back a little before the movable barrel falls down, otherwise the locking mechanism will not work. This is often aided by a weight at the bottom of the curtain as it keeps the cords taut.
