This is my second training collar for my dog. The first one wasn't shocking, but I was happy with the sound and vibration and really just wanted to use those. My dog then tried to join a canine pal who was arguing with another dog on the other side of the fence. I knew it wasn't going to end well and I tried to get her attention but I couldn't. So I decided to get a new collar. Now it just doesn't seem to have any shock and jumps to a big shock at the first level (1) after 0. I don't want to hurt my dog. So I'm back to just vibrate and sound (Note that I have NOT contacted the company for troubleshooting yet. I was just blown away when I accidentally hit the shock when it was at 10 (settings go to 99) and my dog yelped and jumped right into the air then did I tried it, I thought I was going to knock my teeth out, I set it to a 0, then a 1, and it was still very shocking, I can't imagine at 99.)
