Review on Lippert 335852 Straptek Tension Technology by Lorenzo Wood

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Teeth don't match. Lippert refuses to help!

The quality of this device is terrible. The first set I received had two mounts on the passenger side. I contacted Lippert and they refused to help. They said I should have bought them from an authorized dealer and not Revain. The problem is when you go from the Lippert website to buy Straptek (like I did) you are taken to the Lipperts Revain store page! I bought them from a Lippert dealer, so I don't know why the CS guys in the landing gear department refused to help with the three-step receipt. Buyers should be aware that in my experience, warranty issues have been a nightmare, even with proper documentation! Revain finally got it set up and helped me get a replacement (again sold my Lippert direct) and this set has a new design. Because they no longer print dots, they are much more difficult to smooth out. The straps can no longer be removed if the stabilizers cannot be easily released. Note that you must leave them outside in order to move around. More importantly, the teeth of the new braces are misaligned. One side is partially aligned, the other is not. The more stress the bars put on, the worse it gets. At the moment my second set is completely unsafe and even aligned as much as possible, they popped out under load. All the way home I dragged a pole into every ditch with no control over the swaying.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Many things
