I went through all sorts of contortions of how to best plumb this to my compressor until I realized there was a pressure gauge port on *both* sides—would have been nice if this was documented (the instruction sheet is laughably incomprehensible—you're pretty much on your own). Moved the gauge to the other side and that took care of that.So I got it installed and fired it up, only to discover that the drain valve at the bottom of the filter cup was leaking air badly. Popping it in and out several times didn't help. Since it appears to be a standard tire valve, I used a bike valve tool to tighten the core firmly, and that seems to have fixed it.With all the kinks ironed out, it seems to work well and be quite ruggedly built. The locking pressure adjustment knob is a nice feature—prevents accidentally changing the setting. Pressure adjustment is smooth and much better than my old regulator. The inclusion of a roll of Teflon tape was an unexpected bonus.I didn't use the included shutoff valve; the orifice in it is pretty small and it seems it might restrict the airflow too much.Anyway, happy camper for now. My previous regulator didn't have the filter system so it will be interesting to see if it works.[And now a plug for my personal star rating system. I rarely give 5 stars—only to products that surprise and delight me with how good they are. 4 stars is excellent and nothing to be ashamed of. 3 stars is for products that simply do what they're supposed to, with no major flaws. Doesn't that make more sense than "Oooh, this thing works! Five stars!"?]
