I have above average mechanical skills and do most of my auto maintenance and repairs myself so I had to complete the installation a little easier than this project. installed this block on a 2013 Fusion. The instructions state that the device is connected between the existing wiring connectors for the taillights and the taillights, with the wiring harness being routed through a hole in the bodywork. My car didn't have this hole, I had to cut it out and glue it. The power cable could not be routed outside the car as the entire underside of the car is covered with panels leaving very few attachment points for the power cable. I ended up routing the power cable on the driver's side of the car under the trim. I routed it through the firewall through the plastic panel that is above and to the right of the hood release cable when viewed from the inside. You have to remove the insulation from the inside and the battery from the engine compartment to connect it. The estimated project time of 45 minutes took over 3 hours. It works, but I didn't like the installation time, maybe new cars will be a little easier.
