Review on πŸš€ Spectre Performance Air Intake Kit SPE-9060: Maximize Horsepower and Torque for TOYOTA Tacoma (2016-2019) by Ron Collins

Cheaper alternative to K&N

It was easy to install (2018 Tacoma 4x4 TRD Sport) - took about an hour or so. My only suggestion would be that the seller clearly defines the details through illustrations or pictures. to make it easier for the user. While you might work out what's what, at first I had no idea what a "MAF case" was or any of the others that made the list. I also used standard screws/washers instead of the ones supplied because it was easier and took longer. The included MAF sensor bolts require a small allen wrench, but the wrench was not included and I didn't have one handy. Again, I could use the old ones. In terms of sound and performance I installed it this morning and ran it through quickly so I can't say what improvement it could have in terms of gas mileage. However, it makes a "hoarse" noise under acceleration, but not as much "whoosh" as I was used to from my old car (with a K&N intake). It's probably for the better since most people would love to have that "muscle" sound in their trucks. Overall this is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their Tacomas. Although it's cheaper than other brands, the materials do NOT feel cheap.
