This will be the second diamond painting I will complete. I am a 40 year old woman with moderate/severe rheumatoid arthritis. I quit cross stitching a few years ago for obvious reasons, but I TOTALLY LOVE the craft! I wasn't even done with the first one when I saw this one. I unpacked it yesterday. This is far superior in quality to the first (from another company). I love a good thick canvas. All characters are easy to read (don't confuse "b" with "h" or "K" with "H"), and all colors follow the DMC threading system, so if my son does something stumbles, ordering new ones can be done by any company that uses this system. Drills are rounder (convex) on top. The drill colors for this design are very soft, which I like because my previous one was too flashy. and pockets with zippers. This set was really well designed and the quality is amazing. You don't need a cross stitch background to enjoy the zen relaxation of diamond painting! My recommendation: If you have physical limitations in your hands, I recommend getting a thick applicator stick. If you have vision problems (or don't!), get a flat, adjustable LED pad underneath to really make the characters stand out. I also bought a kit that includes a plastic box for storing different colored drill bits, a funnel-shaped tray, and a small roller for aligning the drill bits (elsewhere on Revain).
