Works great, as advertised

We are very happy with our screen. We live in a Manhattan hi-rise (12th floor) with a balcony and sliding door. We rarely use the A/C except on the very hottest days, preferring to keep our windows and sliding door open (we live on a windy corner in a corner unit so plenty of cross-ventilation). Unfortunately, we often have mosquitos in the summer months and kids that are highly allergic to mosquito bites -- this helped solve our mosquito problem. We have had the screen up for about 8 months but it (and the adhesive) has held up well so far and looks like new (that said, we don't have pets so little wear and tear).I would like to wash it, but unsure if it is machine washable. The only drawbacks: 1) the screen is wider than the width of my sliding door, so I have the adhesive stuck to the stationary window side of my door, impeding visibility. 2) It has survived several severe weather storms, but on extremely windy days, the screen will blow open, but I don't think it is reasonable to expect it not to.Highly recommended!

Pros
  • With the IKSTAR mosquito net, you'll enjoy a cool breeze through your home without worrying about insects and bugs
Cons
  • It may not work well with doors that swing both inward and outward.
