A noticeable improvement over the older model

I've been using the older Super Drive 1500XXL for a few years. It had a good beam, but a few things about it bothered me. These things have mostly been fixed in the new model. First, the most annoying feature of the old flashlight was that the charging port was very deep inside and it was actually difficult to securely connect the charger. It eventually fully charged when I wasn't holding the cord properly. The new design isn't as deep and is easier to connect, so that should fix the issue. The rubber plug used for sealing is also held in place by a screw so it can be replaced if the cable breaks and gets lost. Can control taillight with headlight. This can be useful in certain circumstances. What's even better is that it eliminates one of the other disadvantages of the old world. The old light could be set to either turn on and cycle between 1500 lumens and 300 lumens, or cycle through 7 modes, maxing out at 1000, with each press of the button. 1500 is fine, but the battery drains pretty quickly. 300 isn't good enough for trail riding unless you're going really slow. Toggling between 1000 and 600 or so will work pretty well, but toggling between all modes (three of which were flashing) was pretty annoying while cruising through the woods. This flashlight connects to a phone app and you can choose from up to four modes to cycle through at the touch of a button. This is a good idea and means the brightness can be adjusted on the fly while mountain biking with minimal fuss. Also: as soon as I connected it to the app, it updated the firmware. The future looks strange. The only thing I'd like to see is a USB-C port instead of Micro-USB, but I don't think USB-C has caught on yet, so it's not a huge surprise.
