The adapter works well, at least initially. We don't use an audio or USB port in our conference rooms, but the adapter works very well with an HDMI cable from a TV and a VGA port from a laptop. The problem was that after some time (usually months, sometimes weeks) the adapter stopped working for unknown reasons. No symptoms, no intermittent problems, nothing to warn of. We swap out the adapter and everything works again for a few months. We sent back the faulty units and the manufacturer replaced them, but they didn't let us know what problems they found (if any). If you consider using these adapters, you'll likely be happy with the display, resolution, and simplicity (no external power) but have a spare on hand just in case.
