Everything is held together by a small screw!

The soldering iron, when working, was quite difficult to use with the power supply on. Unlike a soldering station or other corded irons, it was never comfortable to hold and no suitable soldering iron holder was developed for this iron. In fact, placing it in one of my soldering iron holders started melting the plastic casing that holds everything together. It worked well as far as temperature goes, but it took too long to cool down and I often had to keep an eye on the iron to make sure it didn't fall off as it cooled and burn something around it. The Achilles' heel of this device is the single hex bolt that attaches the iron to the device itself. This is supposed to be for replacement nibs so I bought a replacement nib and after purchasing a nib from the same seller the nib did not fit the device. I tightened the Allen screw even harder until it broke and unfortunately it didn't hold the new replacement tip. Now the old tip won't fit and the screw can't come out. So, I have a tipless soldering iron and two tipless soldering irons. Basically garbage. The return period has expired, but I have to say that I will not be buying a replacement. The reviews I've read about it didn't essentially have the problem I had, so they're all consistently good. Unfortunately, I have to recommend dropping this iron and looking elsewhere for a quality iron because while technically impressive, it does have one downside. Spare screws are included in case you lose the screw holding the iron, but removing the screw inside the unit will do no good.
