This stuff really works.

Used on the rear window of my 2009 Audi A4 Convertible and it is holding up very well. It has amazing adhesion, it dries fairly quickly. My only caveat is that when it comes to repairing a convertible top window, you don't need a lot of money to do a good repair. I cut the bead line too far and put too much material between the top and the glass window. I also used CR Lawrence Suck and Clamps to press the top onto the glass. So the combination of too much material and over-tightening the clamps created a mess and a lot of material spilled onto the glass. Also, I tightened the zip ties so tightly that I must have pushed some of the material through the fabric, leaving visible stains on the outside of the convertible top when I removed the zip ties. However, my top is 9 years old and this repair should give me another 2 years before I buy a new one. Below are my recommendations.1. Be sure to purchase and use the primer that comes with it.2. Lift the top slightly to relieve the pressure, then secure it to keep it from falling. I used rags under the back of the hood and cardboard between the hood and the windscreen.3. If you have a lot of repairs to do, consider doing it in small steps, it will be much easier. Use thin disposable gloves and keep a few spares handy. If material gets on the gloves, put on a new pair.5. Cut a narrow strip and apply a thin layer to the sealing area between the glass and the outer fabric.6. Use CR Laurence clamps, but do not overtighten, just enough to ensure a good fit so the connecting material makes good contact. An alternative to clips could be a dash cam or two or pool toys that you clip into the car and then inflate to push against the glass from inside the car. If material seeps onto the glass, loosen the clamp slightly and allow the material to dry for about an hour. You can then remove the staple(s) and very carefully trim off the excess material with a razor blade. Be very careful not to rub the top with a razor blade. At this point, cutting the material doesn't require much pressure, and light pressure on the blade cuts it easily. Reinstall clips.8. Start within 30 minutes of applying the material and gradually release the pressure on the clips until you can remove them completely after about 3 hours.9. I left the repair kit two days before driving the car. 10. Take your time, a good repair is not that difficult.
