Convertible window repair still holding up after 7 months

***updated 9/25/19***My 2 year old repair is still holding up well with no signs of wear, the window is peeling off! ************ Re-glued the glass in my convertible top (2003 VW Beetle). I did this repair 7 months ago and was waiting to write a review to see if it held up - it did. I also used 3M One Step Primer. I chose this product after much research - it seems like most other adhesives people have tried have failed. The repair took a few hours due to inexperience and a desire to maximize…

Convertible Top Window Fixer

I used this to glue the rear window on my 2005 Mustang GT/CS. Step Primer I also used 3M 08682 Single Step Primer after treating the glass with alcohol. I did it in March, it's now August and it's still holding up. We had a few rains, many days the temperature was over 100 degrees Fahrenheit (Texas heat wave) and I raised and lowered the top several times a day and everything was still fine. I even went through several car washes to test it and still no leaks. As others have said, the key is to

Ideal cheap differential bushing repair

Rear differential bushings on my car are worn out. When I put it in reverse I noticed that they went out. Loud knocking and knocking can be heard even on the road when accelerating. It was estimated it took about 4 hours of labor plus parts, which came to around $500. I did a bit of research and found a YouTube video of a guy taking his worn diff bushings off and rebuilding them with this product. I figured if you were going to go to all the trouble of removing bushings, just install new ones…

Highly recommended! Some hints.

I have recently used this product in conjunction with 3M Primer 08682 and Audi TT rear window repair clips. Thank you to everyone from previous reviews who provided step-by-step instructions! For those who want to try this fix, please read the previous posts first. I have a few thoughts that might be helpful for those who are using these two products for the first time. This review is from the perspective of someone who has never used any of these products and has no experience with auto and…

Mustang AAA+++ Convertible Rear Window Repair

I was very pleased with the performance of this adhesive. I followed the instructions found online and used suction cups, 3M primer, sticks/balls to spread the primer and 3M Window-Weld Urethane Adhesive with strips of wood to spread the load. I was particularly pleased about the good initial adhesion and the extended open time. This allowed me to move the glass and stretch the top while my son perfectly aligned the fabric with the existing join line, resulting in a near-perfect repair. The…

This stuff really works.

Used on the rear window of my 2009 Audi A4 Convertible and it is holding up very well. It has amazing adhesion, it dries fairly quickly. My only caveat is that when it comes to repairing a convertible top window, you don't need a lot of money to do a good repair. I cut the bead line too far and put too much material between the top and the glass window. I also used CR Lawrence Suck and Clamps to press the top onto the glass. So the combination of too much material and over-tightening the clamps
