I bought these hooks for a crochet project - my first Tunisian crochet project - and finding the right size hook with cords was a challenge. These hooks "saved me" and turned out to be great hooks. The hook piece was deep enough and at the right angle to hold the loops and it was easy to insert into the loops without breaking the yarn. They were smooth as butter and I liked the wooden bead at the end as it was big enough to fit everything even if the project got pretty big. Only criticism, if any, is that the plastic cable is prone to kinking. But when I pulled on the wooden bead at the end of the cord and straightened the cord, the bend was gone, so it really wasn't a problem. The needles worked well and were light enough to use effectively even when my project got very large and heavy. The hooks came in a red velvet pouch and overall I was very happy with my purchase. These larger hooks are very difficult to find. None of my local stores have them. So I was happy that the kit I received worked so well. They were easy to use. I had no problems at all.
